Wednesday, April 16th, 1862


To day Sam* [Samuel Houston Sharp] & I went out squirreling with some success. Boys at work on the fence. Charley finished working over the corn. The River is rising very fast. weather cloudy and warm with strong prospects of rain.


*This Sam is a 2nd great-grandpa to the Keeper of this family history blog.
