To day I am engaged in the ware house breaking out and shipping freight by the cars to Messrs. Murphy & Sanderson at Houston. My old friend Murphy left on the cars for his house also at Houston. I went up town and there learned that my roan horse Ratler which had been stolen on Tuesday night last was left at the residence of James Rodgers on the Trinity River. I then dispatched Bob after him, who returned at night with my horse. weather cloudy and warm with occasional showers of rain.
