To day the boys are still at work in the bottom field. Nellie [Mary Alexandrien Sharp nee Lemaire] is still down at Mother's [Mahala Sharp Hall nee Roberts]. I made two more shuttles for the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp]. My son James [James Wrigley Hall] had a hard chill & severe fever. Hicks ground 3½ bushels of wheat and 20 bushels of corn. Weather changeable with a hard rain in the evening. Ther: 86°.
