Monday, September 11th, 1865

To day I had the 4 bales of Cotton brought down on one of the wagons hauled down to the ware house where I sold the same to Col. Jim Wrigley at 16$ per pound, it weighed ? pounds. I drew upon it one hundred dollars. Capt. John Redman came over from Houston on the cars and stopped with me for the night. Weather variable and hot.
