To day Father [Joshua James Hall] went to Crockett. Mother [Mahala* Sharp Hall nee Roberts] came up to see the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp] & Florence [Hall]. I bought 5 lbs. mutton tallow and 50 cts. for it having borrowed the money from Mother. we ground 30½ bushels of corn and 3 bushels of wheat. weather changable and cool.
