To day Father [Joshua James Hall] & Mother [Mahala* Sharp Hall nee Roberts] passed through Crockett on a visit to Mrs. McDonalds [probably Margaret MacDonald nee Roberts]. I took dinner in their company at Mr. Downes' and in the evening returned home from Crockett. found the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp] & Florence still down at Mothers, to which place I went to see them and remained there all night with them. weather changable and cool.
*This Mahala is a 3rd great-grandma to the Keeper of this family history blog. Margaret MacDonald is her youngest sister.
