To day I finished copying the old field notes. In the evening William Leaverton and I rode up to the mill and divided the toll corn with Mr. Pennington. The little woman has entirely recovered from her attack of neuralgia. weather changeable and hot.

To day I had a settlement with Father and divided with him the lands that we held in common. I made the deed to Mother [Mahala] for the same. The little woman [Margaret] is still quite sick. I am busy taking a copy of the old field notes, taken in 1838, of my Trinity lands. weather changeable & hot.
