To day I sent Bill to Crockett on Hawk to mail some letters and to get my mail matter. Father went out and drove up a beef which he killed. I loafed around the house generally getting very tired of my protracted stay up the Country. But as I am with the little woman and my pet Fawn I pass the time very agreeably. weather changeable & hot looking more like rain than yesterday.
