To day I kept the boys home to attend around the house. Mother [Mahala Sharp Hall nee Roberts] & Billy Stewart left early in the morning. Jimmy [James Wrigley Hall] is still very ill and I think the crisis of the disease passed this morning and I now have some hope of his recovery. Mrs. J.H. Leaverton came over to see Jimmy & spent the day. Late in the evening Dr. Murchison came to see Jimmy. Mrs. Bird came & staid all night. Louisa & Wolf are still sick. Hicks ground 11 bushels of corn and was then taken with fever, also Conney. Weather clear & hot. Ther: 90°.
