To day I remained at home writing up this journal. I had my barrel of ale hauled up home. Mrs. Stanwood came over & left with me a number of a/c's for collection. I am still suffering with the itch & sore throat. Weather variable & cool with a hard rain and storm at night.

To day I drove up town and paid Mr. Bristley 20$ specie for some Crockery. I purchased from him a suit of clothes for $25 and one empty whiskey barrell for the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp]. Weather cloudy & cold with a frost & freeze at night.

To day I am still at work in the warehouse. Hicks hauled me another load of corn which makes in all delivered in my crib 190 barrels. He also hauled one load of 38 barrels and put in Col. Wrigley's cribs. Frank Stewart is still sick and confined to his room. Roberta is also sick. Jimmy & Josephine are better. Weather changeable & warm with a shower of rain.
