Saturday, May 21st, 1864

To day the boys are still at work in the lower field. Mother [Mahala Sharp Hall nee Roberts] came up and spent the day. I am at work upon and finished the loom for the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp]. Hicks ground 5½ bushels of corn. Weather changeable and warm with a light shower of rain.
