To day the boys are at work setting out potato slips. I worked on a pair of warping bars for the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp]. The little woman and children drove down to Mother's [Mahala Sharp Hall nee Roberts] and spent the day. Roberta [Roberta Downes Halyard nee Hall] came up home with her. Hicks attended the mill and ground 2½ bushels of wheat and 3 bushels of Rye. Weather variable and hot. Ther: 96°.
