Saturday, June 18th, 1864

To day the boys finished plowing out the corn in the lower field. Nellie [Mary Alexandrien Sharp nee Lemaire] came home from Mrs. Bird's. I made a bench for the little woman [Margaret Hall Stewart nee Sharp] to use at the house. Hicks attended the mill and ground 30 bushels of corn. Hansel Coburn stopped with me for the night on his way home from Magnolia. Weather clear & warm. Ther: 88°.
