Thursday, July 7th, 1864

To day I kept the boys at home to attend around the house and wait upon the sick. Mother [Mahala Sharp Hall nee Roberts] & Mrs. Leaverton came up to see Jimmy [James Wrigley Hall] who is still very sick but improving a little. Hicks, Louisa, Conney, Wolf and Clara are all confined with fevers. I let Dr. Murchison have 112 lbs. of flour & 2 bushels of wheat bran. Mr. Freeman & son stopped with me for the night. Weather clear & hot. Thermometer: 91°.
